Our Story

 The first seed of Beach State was planted years ago when founder Olivia was a college student in Tampa, Florida. She and her closest friends lived in off-campus houses on two streets — Beach and State. Somewhere along the way, their little group became known as “Beach State,” and the name was born.

The years passed, those college houses became memories, and everyone eventually moved on to new places and new chapters of life. But the name stuck with Olivia. She always knew there was something special about it — she just had to figure out what it would become.

Over the years, the idea behind Beach State shifted and evolved, but the feeling behind it always remained the same: a beach state of mind.

 That feeling is something Olivia has always shared with her mother, Kristen. Both grew up in a small coastal town called Oyster Bay, and neither has ever lived far from the water. The concept of Beach State Co. has developed from their shared love of the water and the memories, traditions, and everyday moments that come with living near it. From smalltown summers in the Northeast to warm southern winters, from quiet mornings along the shoreline to long summer days spent in the sea, there is a certain charm that comes with life along the coast.

Today, Beach State has found its first chapter through the art of correspondence. Inspired by a love for creativity, storytelling, and the simple joy of sending and receiving something meaningful in the mail.

Beach State is a place for those who still love the little things in a world that moves fast and can often feel disconnected. The memories attached to places, the stories behind them, and the sense of community that comes from sharing them with other people.
